I'm interested in upgrading my Apple router to the latest AirPort Extreme which supports 802.11ac, however I'm wondering if this might adversely affect the wifi connection/speed of my 2009 Mac Pro.

I'm sure 802.11ac will improve my iPhone 6's wifi connection at home, but I remember an Apple employee once mentioning that an 802.11ac router might slow my Mac Pro's wifi connection in that it would prioritize 802.11ac-supporting devices.

Don't worry, I have the ac Time Capsule. All Apple device regardless ac capability have good connection.

Thanks! I'm going to go ahead and upgrade to the new AirPort Extreme. I'm planning on purchasing a wifi ac card from macvidcards.com for my Mac Pro 4,1 as soon as those cards are available on the site again, but in the meantime it's good to know that my Mac Pro's wifi connection should be unhindered.
