So I am interested in upgrading my late 2015 5k iMac (i7 4GHz, 16 GB RAM, R9 395 2GB, 2TB Fusion Drive). I was taking a look at the BTO configuration and noticed that there's about a month wait for a BTO iMac. I know that WWDC is just around the corner (prior to expected ship date). If I place an order now and see that Apple is going to release a new iMac 27" that I want, is it possible to cancel and get a refund on my original purchase or do I have to wait for my BTO iMac to be delivered? I've seen rumors that Apple will be releasing a new 23" iMac (no mention of a new 27" other than possibly a refresh). I was thinking of upgrading my current iMac by replacing the blade SSD with a larger one and purchasing more ram (increase to 32GB) but I figured that dropping $500-600 to extend this 5k iMac for another year or so is probably a waste vs just getting a new computer. I've also considered a MBP 16 (I currently have a 2018 2.6 GHz MBP 13" with 16GB RAM as my mobile device) but getting the essentials to use at my desk would be considerably more expensive vs a new 5K iMac (especially when you factor in the cost of a dock, main monitor, 32 GB RAM upgrade). I plan to use this new computer for another 5 years or so (no gaming since I have all the consoles and a gaming PC).
