I have a folder on my MacBook (Snow Leopard) containing some photos that I use for my AppleTV screensaver. I also have it synced to my new iPad as an album in the stock Photos app.

For the sake of the album, I'd like to keep it as up to date as possible. I see, though, that the synced album on the iPad Photos app is not editable (that is, I cannot add or subtract photos to it as I can with the other albums that we're created on my iPad).

So, is there a workaround to this? As it is now, I'll have to email these photos to myself from my iPad, open them on my computer, add them to the folder, iTunes will sync that folder, and the album will be updated. Kind of long-winded.

(I put this in the iOS 5 board assuming it wasn't a solely iPad issue. Apologies if it's misplaced.)

Thanks in advance.

Instead of email, why not use Photo Stream. Also, why not use iPhoto on the MacBook to share photos with your Apple TV?

I was under the impression that I would not be able to get the most out of Photo Stream if I was not running Lion; true?

Sorry to not answer your question, but you can set AppleTV to directly use your PhotoStream as the screen saver so no interim steps are necessary. Obviously you can delete PhotoStream photos from your computer or iOS devices to get rid of the blurry ones. :)

Edit: Don't hold me to this, but I thought I heard that editing sync'ed folders is possible with iOS6. Or it was on someone's wish list. Either way if that's the way you want to manage it, take a look in the iOS6 forum or Google for it. I hope I didn't make it up. ;)
