Question regarding SHSH blobs

Cydia on my jailbroken iphone 4 states "this device has SHSHs on file for iphone OS 4.0.1...are my SHSHs safely stored or do i also have to use tiny umbrella??

Saurik does not guarantee that his caching is working properly for the iPhone 4 because he has not been able to test it. You should use TinyUmbrella to get your SHSH stored locally, just in case.

Im new to SHSH blobs so I have a question.

I attempted to save my blob on my 3G & was told it wasnt needed, not supported.

Whats up with that? Is it a 3G thing?

This device has a pending TSS request...or something along those lines. What does that mean?

umbrella keeps giving me "SHSH NOT saved". Has anyone encountered this error message?
