So I've searched the forum and can't really find what I'm looking for. I currently have an iPad 2 and iPhone 4 which are synced to a Windows Vista Computer. I have Mobileme and my iTunes account is my @me email address so everything is already linked and ready to go.

My question is, what exactly does transitioning/converting to iCloud consist of? Will it be done through a browser or through iTunes?
I remember seeing an article that said users will have to have Vista or W7 in order to use iCloud but I don't see why it matters if it's done through a browser...?

All in good time...

The info hasn't been released, so have a coffee, resist the urge to surf porn, make ready your contacts etc. All will be revealed.

ok so I guess it's safe to say I'm in the same boat as everyone else here. It's just strange when thinking about the physical transition to iCloud and why the OS would even matter if it's through iTunes or a browser.
Also, did Steve Jobs say it would be released around "September" or did he just say Fall?

It's interesting that Apple already knows how the transition will be executed, yet they're not saying a word.

This, from a company that loves to brag & boast. Using slogans like "Its Magical & Revolutionary" one wonders if the transition to iCloud isn't ?

I wonder if, and hope that, Apple may be looking at incorporating some of the remaining MobileMe features into iCloud still hence no big transitioning announcement this early.

I agree with you and I really like the idea.

I'm also very happy that unlike the past, this is the very first time I will not be migrating to the "latest" OS on day one.

I'm taking a wait and see approach on this one, I simply do not have an interest in taking on a lot of bugs and annoyances, with 10.7.0 and the untested, iCloud.

Why release details on how to do something that can't be done yet? the full transition details will be released at launch, or maybe a week before. but currently we're at least a month and a half away!

It's still in beta so there's still stuff being done with it. be patient. your letting your imagination run away with you and getting close to throwing your toys out the pram cos apple won't tell you how to changeover to something that's not out yet! madness
