The Remote App on my iPhone will sometimes wake up my Mac Pro from sleep when I launch the iPhone app. This is very useful when I'm doing Screen Sharing of my Mac Pro from my Mac Laptop. Unfortunately sometimes it doesn't wake up the Mac Pro even though I have iTunes launched and open.

Does anyone know why this sometimes works or and sometimes doesn't ? Is there a way to set this app or the Mac Pro so that Remote always wakes up the Mac Pro ?

Thanks

I have no clue about this but my guess would be maybe it has to do with whether iTunes is up and running or not on the Mac Pro?

Thanks for the reply. iTunes is up in running in both situations. It's just weird that some times the remote app wakes the up MP from sleep and sometimes it doesn't. Wish I could figure it out because I use the remote app for music via airport expresses in multiple rooms quite a bit. It's nice to not have to go into the room where the MP is and hit the space bar to wake it up when I want to listen to music remotely.

Can anyone recommend another iphone app that will wake up, and possible put to sleep, a Mac Pro remotely ?

Thanks
