Now I've got my O2 UK iPhone officially unlocked, can I tether with it using a different SIM without hacking it? I know I still can't use my O2 iPhone SIM to tether, but what if I insert the SIM from my mobile broadband dongle - it would save me having to take the dongle everywhere with me.

I can't just try it for myself, because I've temporary mislaid my dongle

I'd be interested in knowing this too.

I'm considering moving to another network (t-mobile or voda) and am not sure how I'd enable tethering on either as they don't yet offer the phone. I find it annoying that friends with the HD2 or Android phones are able to choose for themselves whether they tether but I am not. I'm normally in wifi anyway but there's a couple of places I go where this would be very handy.

The tethering option completely disappeared when i put in a SIM from another network :(
