When iOS 9 is officially released this coming Wednesday, do I have to revert back to 8.4.1 and then upgrade to iOS 9? I am running the public beta of 9.1 but never ran a beta on my iPhone 6 or iPad Mini 2. Thanks.

You should be able to update to it as any other update, although you might need to delete the public beta profile from your device first.

I don't think just deleting the profile while on 9.1 will give him a pop up to install 9.0. It looks for newer versions and since 9.1 > 9.0 it would probably say he is up to date.

Must have overlooked the 9.1 part of it in the OP originally. Yeah, in that case it likely won't work. Best way would likely be through downloading iOS 9.0 IPSW and using that or perhaps just putting he phone into recovery (or DFU) mode and letting iTunes take care of it all and install the most recent public version, which would be iOS 9.0 at that point.

Thanks, but one question - what is "recover (or DFU) mode"? As I said, never had to deal with beta software before.
