So i have a iPhone 4s running 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak
and I was thinking about just updating to iOS 6 because I don't really care for the jailbreak anymore. I also wanted to try out the new features that come with Ios6 so i was wondering if

  • I just upgraded straight from my phone would it mess up?

  • If i upgraded it would all my cydia app data be deleted and give me back that space on my phone that I lost due to them?

  • Would I lose any of my data, messages , pictures , ect?

  • Also if I did a full restore would there be a way I can keep my messages still ?

Please if someone can give me feedback asap that would be helpful

When you restore to iOS6, all your content will be gone.
The idea is to sync/backup to iTunes before upgrading, then sync your content back.

If you do a full restore to backup, your settings and messages will come back, but so will some leftover jailbreak code that will remain.
Sometimes these jailbreak leftovers can cause problems for the stock firmware.

What if I deleted all the jailbreak apps from my phone?
So what would be the best method for me to do?

do as dhlizard said it's not that simple you can't just delete cydia and remove the jailbreak that is just making it.. here e is a sticky to take you step by step how to restore https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/603129/

Sorry you can't reinvent the wheel. ;)

I have restored before and not lost photo's data etc just backup in Itunes but restore as new. you can add contacts photo's from there.
