I have been trying to find my hidden music purchases on my MacBook but can't find them, but I can see them on my iPhone. Is there anyway to fix this problem or is it a problem with the software?

The best way to search for files on a mac is in Terminal:

> find / -type f -name <one-of-the-filenames> -print 2>/dev/null

Use one of the filenames from your iPhone, match case (!)
The phrase "2>/dev/null" suppresses error messages about non-accessible area's.

There are two ways to access this information. Open the App Store and click on your profile in the lower left corner. Click on "Account Settings" at the top of the window. Once in Account Settings, you will see a "Hidden Items" section directly below the Apple ID Summary section. From within the Music App itself, simply go to the Account menu and Account Settings. Both methods will bring you to a screen that looks like the following thumbnail.
