WHEN the iPhone is released in the UK, is it likely that a person can buy the iPhone in the US and activate it with Apple's iPhone service provider in the UK? Or would you have to buy the iPhone in the UK?

I am NOT asking if you can currently use an iPhone in the UK.

I guess it depends on how the SIM card in the iPhone works. I know just sticking an AT&T SIM card in the iPhone won't make it work, you have to use th e SIM card it came with. If the SIM card in a USA iPhone works with AT&T only, I would guess that would be the main issue getting a UK iPhone to work.

that stays a mystery untill the end of the year...
but the apple premium shop in Antwerp confirms on there site that the iphone will be buyable (buyeably, i'm not from amerika) in December.
