So does 14.4 fix the notification issue that has existed for months now?
Is standalone 5g supported yet?
Is 5g available on both lines in a dual SIM setup yet?

Edit: Just got my answer on the last question. Apparently it isn't.

Does Apple actually ever do what they say they will do anymore?

A bit of sarcasm? Well I am sorry but I spent almost a thousand dollars on a device having been told by the manufacturer that it would perform in such a way that it is not. Should I just ignore that?

I’ll answer the questions here as honestly as I can.

No idea, I have not run into this issue.

This one depends on your provider and weather or not they have updated the tower and towers in your location with SA 5G.

Apple themselves have not made any promise on this to date, only a supposed leaked email from Verizon claimed this ability to be arriving by the end of 2020 which of course has not happened.

This question I will not answer as it Lacks of what you want here as this is very open ended.

Yesterday, more often than not, I kept getting emails with no notification sound. At times there was no visual notification either. It seems as though Apple has given up on this. What really bothers me is that notifications worked flawlessly for me prior to 'upgrading' to 14.2 but it's now hit or miss.

No this does not ONLY depend on the provider. The phone has to support it too. T-Mobile has had standalone 5G for months. Neither my iphone 12, a Galaxy phone I used to own, nor the latest Pixels when they first came out (not sure about now) support standalone 5G (yet?)

1. Fixed some but notification issues still exist and vary widely.
2. Depends on your carrier.
3. Nope.
4. To be honest, I know longer count on what Apple says it will do. I just hope they fix the existing bugs many of us still "enjoy 😖 ".

As I said earlier yes standalone 5G does depend on the carrier, but does also depend on the phone.

Amazing that I may have to go back to Android to get the notification issue dealt with. How is it that a company that has been providing something like these notifications for years has all of a sudden lost the ability to make them work correctly?

Regarding the notifications. It made it worse for me. I now only get notifications on my watch, but not on the phone. If my watch is not on, then I get it on my phone. It doesn’t even appear on the screen when my watch is on.
