So I'm thinking of getting the iphone 3G and using it on T-mobile with YESSIM (ATT sucks and I'm not paying $140 per month for the same plan and only $90 a month but with better service from T-mobile) and I'm wondering if anyone is using YESSIM with T-mobile (or any provider other than ATT). What's the longest any of you have been using it and how is it working out for you? Sorry if all this has been covered before (I searched and didnt come up wth too much info) I just dont want to waste my money on something that isnt gonna work.

Also I forgot to ask if it needs to be jailbroken...because I dont want to risk losing the warranty on the phone. And if it does have to be jailbroken to use yessim are there any other alternatives that dont require messing with the software?

These unlocking sim cards don't require any jailbreaking. I have been using the Gevey sim card, and it has worked awesomely since I got it, but the best thing is that you don't have to cut the sim card.

thats awesome. thanks for the response. also how long have you been using it and what carrier are you using?

Ok so I ordered the Gevey 3G and I'm gonna be getting my hands on an ihone in the next few weeks...I just have on last question about using T-mobile...I know they dont have 3G but I still wanna use the internet how do I set the phone to use tmo's internet instead of att's

You guys think I can get a 3g iphone from at&t then canceling my contract with them right away and keep the iphone and use it on T-mobile?? with YESSIm ofcourse?

You could technically but it is expensive. I would try to buy one off ebay or find one to buy for cheaper on craigslist. And the dev team is really close to a software unlock of the iphone 3g and soon all of these sim cards will be obsolete.
