Ok, so I've been googling all day and have turned up nothing. Any help is much appreciated:
So I purchased an HTC one today through AT&t's premiere website. I was not eligible for discounted pricing as I am not due for an upgrade until 9/2014. I currently use an IPhone 5 with unlimited data and pay roughly $80 monthly for the total bill. What does this new purchase mean for my monthly bill? Is my contract now over since I paid for a new device at no commitment? Will I be able to just transfer the sim from my IPhone into the HTC one and have the same plan as I currently do? Do I even have a plan any more, or is it based now on month to month usage? To sum it up my questions are:
1. What does upgrading early at no commitment pricing mean for my contract and monthly bill from my previous device?
2. Will my grandfathered unlimited data be saved through this new purchase? And will I have to go to the store and have the unlimited data plan transferred to the new phone due to IPhone having its own special "IPhone Data Unlimited" plan.
3. Will I be able to unlock this phone since I paid full price for it?
I'm just so confused, sorry if these questions are dumb.
I'm assuming it means that I've paid the no commitment price but I am still committed to the 2 year contract I previously signed. Meaning the current plan will just transfer to the new phone once I activate it, is that correct?
