So, my current set up is an iPad, Macbook, and Galaxy Nexus. I love them all so much, and think that each device is the best at what it does, but with the iP5/6/whatever you want to call it coming, I'm thinking that I might want to switch back for one reason-- iCloud. iMessage, Notes, Docs in the Cloud, and Reminders syncing is just too awesome.

Are there any alternatives to this that could be used cross-platform? I know Google Docs, but that really isn't my cup of tea...

I think dropbox is the best by far for syncing and I also have sugarsync, box, ubuntu one, cubby, drive, skydrive.

I do not have icloud though and cannot compare to it.
