I'm planning on pre-ordering two iPhone Xs (one for myself and one for someone else) tonight and they will both be on the same Verizon plan. However, it will be my first time pre-ordering an iPhone and and I have a few questions:

1. Am I able to order two iPhones at the same time or do I have to use two separate devices?

2. If I am ordering on the Apple website, do I need to sign into my Verizon account/contact Verizon before I pre-order?

3. Once I receive the phone, do I have to take it to a Verizon store to get it activated and deactivate my previous phone? Or can I do it myself?

1. I do not believe you can preorder more then 1 at a time

2. During the preorder process on Apple.com, it will ask for the phone number, billing zip, last 4 of social and account PIN to verify with Verizon.

3. No, the phone will come with a SIM card already inside. Just need to turn it on to activate.

You can order one AT&T/Spring/Verizon plus a T-Mobile phone (or two T-Mobile phones.) The ‘carrier activated’ phones are limited to one per order.

If I may suggest running a test order on the iPhone 8 through apples website first. The only reason is that several of us Verizon customers are only given the option to buy outright on Apple. We’ve all pretty much discovered that Verizon customers have to use the Verizon app this yet.

Thanks for the replies everyone! One more question: would you suggest ordering through the Apple store or the Verizon website?

Pacific time. Just google how time zones work
I know a lot about time zones but that didn't explain on who's time zone it was going to work off of. I am assuming because apple headquarters are in that time zone that's why the pre-orders will start in that time zone. That makes sense.

Anyone know if there's a way to dis-associate the AT&T SIM from the line I used to buy the iPhone X? I just had to put in something so I used a family member's line on our account. Don't want to deactivate their phone when I switch the X on.
