I am absolutely thrilled to have found Plex, it is the only way I have discovered to play Netlfix movies full screen on an external monitor while I can still fully utilize my main monitor. If I try this using the Netflix player as soon as you click on your main monitor the external monitor switches from full screen back to a window. Plex completely solves this.

I have a couple of issues and questions about the program which would make it absolutely perfect if I could resolve them all:

1.In Plex when using the Netflix application the fast forward and rewind commands do nothing. I see the control activating but the movie does not ff or rewind. Is there a solution? On the Netflix site there is a slider that can be dragged back and forth for ff and rewind and it also has a visual and time stamp representation of where you are in the movie.

2. Is there any way to put a virtual remote control on the desktop of my main monitor that is always visible so that I can control Plex on the second monitor without having to click on the second monitor?

3. My instant queue is not updating in Plex reliably. Sometimes it will show 2 or 3 of the movies in my instant queue, other times it won't show any. Sometimes exiting Plex and restarting it will partially update my instant queue in Plex but it never seems to perfectly sync with my actual Netflix instant queue. Are there any solutions to this?

Restart Plex, I had to do that the first time I ran it.

I found another issue with Plex and Netflix streaming. When playing back a movie the volume is extremely low. I played the same movie using the web player and the volume was easily twice as loud. I have to have my Mac at almost maximum volume for it to be a reasonable level. Of course then any other sounds are ridiculously loud. Even the blip of volume up and down was so jarring I had to disable it.

Any ideas on how to increase the volume within Plex?

Well at least I solved one of my issues. I purchased Xmote from the iTunes app store for my iPhone, works incredible! I cab control Plex independently now and don't even need to click in the Plex window, I just keep my iPhone on my desk for control. Now if I could only get Netflix to fast forward and rewind and for my queue to update consistently this would be perfect! Even with those issues remaining it solved my #1 Netflix complaint and that was lack of full screen on my external display while I continued to use my main display.
