Hey everyone.
I have a Yamaha Subwoofer at the moment. I am going to be buying a new Receiver for my setup.
On my subwoofer, the way it connects to my current receiver: which is a DVD/Receiver all in one, It connects using a subwoofer cable, and another cable: A 3.5mm headphone type of cable from the sub to the receiver.
Now, I have seen the back side of the receiver I am going to be getting. It has 2 subwoofer connections. One called "Subwoofer Output" and another with other connections called "Multi Channel Input" . Those connections do not look like you can plug the 3.5mm cable into them, Only the standard subwoofer cable.
I'm saying this because when I unplug the the 3.5mm headphone looking cable from the subwoofer, the receiver shuts off, or no sound goes to the subwoofer. But once I plug the cable back in, sound goes to the sub. I'm afraid that my subwoofer will not work with the new receiver.
That may/may not sound confusing, but I worded it the best I could!
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
