I want to install the Public GM of MacOS Sierra on my Mac. I want to know if this GM is the new firmware which apple will release this September for the public ?

No, the GM is not a firmware. Its the prerelease version of the OS X Sierra that is supposed to be released on the 20th. meaning, that the final Sierra release will either be identical to the GM, or we will get another GM that fixes some last-minute bugs.
