I'm wanting to use the EyeTV Hybrid with a Mac Mini. I have DirecTV satellite and was wondering if I could connect my satellite receiver to the EyeTV to the Mac Mini. The main reason for doing this is to be able to schedule/record tv shows from my satellite receiver to the Mac Mini. I also want to use it as a DVD player/music player.

If anyone knows if this will work or has this set up, please help me. And, if it matters, my DirecTV satellite receiver model is HD - H21-100. I don't have an HDTV.

I have to bump this thread because I thought I had this figured out, and now I don't. I edited my first post back to the original question.

Digital Inputs: Digital Satellite (DirecTV or Dish Networks)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EyeTV Hybrid (original North American model) cannot directly receive Digital Satellite. Attach the satellite receiver to the analog inputs of EyeTV Hybrid (original North American model), and change channels using the satellite receiver remote.

So scroll over to the "Analog Inputs: Satellite (With Satellite Receiver)" and follow those instructions at the link above.
