Questions about Wireless Charging Case and AppleCare+

Hey all

2 questions about AirPods.

1. Does anyone know how long AirPods take to charge wirelessly vs using a Lightning cable? (This is for 2nd Gen AirPods.) I tried googling and surprisingly no one seems to have compared the charging options.

2. I have the 2nd Gen AirPods with the regular case but am thinking about getting the Wireless case. My AirPods have applecare. If I got the new case, would it become covered?
