iPhone Questions before Jailbreaking

hi everyone,
so im planning on jailbreaking my iphone 4. i'm running iOS 5.1.1
but im in 2 minds cos i have a few concerns... I'm sure a lot of u may consider my questions stupid, but im new and not too tech savvy... so go easy on me =)

1. will i still be able to access/dload stuff from app store using my current apple id/pword combo?
2. will imessenger still work?
3. when i restore the phone to factory settings, thats as good as un-jailbreaking it right?
4. if i jailbreak, will i be able to upgrade my iOS when iOS 6 comes out?

Yes to the first three, no to the last. If you upgrade to iOS6 you will lose your JB. However, soon after the official iOS 6 is released, the DevTeam will be on it and release a jailbreak for it.

More specifically http://www.iclarified.com/jailbreak/index.php in case you can't be bothered to look around. Select your device, iOS version and computer OS and it'll give you links for the downloads you need and instructions.

Absinthe jailbreak to me is easier by far. I've jailbroken half a dozen devices with it, never a problem.

I prefer Absinthe over Redsn0w. It's always worked for me, while I had a minor problem with Redsn0w once.

I've used both but I jailbroke a friends 4S on 5.1.1 today using redsn0w and it was really fast and had no issues. I've had minor issues with asbinthe in the past and it won't even open on Mountain Lion anyway.

Absinthe 2.0.4 runs just fine on ML, just Google for the procedure to launch it.
