Couple of questions and remember I am a new convert :

1. How do I 'cut and paste' an animated grafic so that its still animated after pasting. I know how to do still picture cut an paste just not an animation.

2. Get mpgs to play one after the other. Whenever I open up multiple mpgs they all open up in their own seperate player window layerd on top of each other. I just want one player window open but the ability for that window to play each mpeg before moving onto the next.

Much appreciated. :D

1. I assume your app would have to support that. I'm not a "guru" on this one.
2. Try VLC instead of Quicktime. I don't know if QT Pro supports this, but the free version does not.

1. where or what program are you pasting to?
2. sorry, i don't know which app is able to do that... i know Quicktime doesn't.

Like the guy above me said, try VLC, brilliant media player, it will play (virtually) anything you throw at it, great program.

Thanks for the replies I will try out vlc.

Regarding cutting and pasting an animated grafic maybe I didnt explain myself to well. Say I see an animated picture on the web, lets say someones avatar, how can I save it to my macbook desktop so that I can use it?

well if you are using safari you can simply drag and drop it to the desktop.

You can do this with normal pictures as well.

This doesn't work for animated avatars. Anyone else know of any other way to copy an animated avatar to my desktop which I can then upload to my own profile? Thanks.

You could right click on it and choose 'Save to 'Downloads''.

It's worth pointing out that Preview doesn't support animated gifs (as far as I can figure out), so if you're checking it's saved ok or not with Preview you'll only ever get the static version. To check you've got the animated version you could open it with Safari.
