I'm wondering about jail breaking my o2 3g phone using windows but have a few doubts.

1. Does it void the warranty or can the phone just be restored to how it was bought?
2. Does the app store and all the apps I've already purchased still work?
3. Will future firmware updates work?

Many thanks!

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)

To add to the answer given to question 3, there was a case where the most recent (2.1) firmware update worked on a jailbroken iPhone. I don't know if it was with a particular jailbreak software or multiple software packages but I did see people reporting that they updated as if the phone wasn't jailbroken and it worked with 2.1. I wouldn't count on this in the future though, you will probably have to wait.
