I've been using a white sport band and just noticed some discoloration/staining. So now I'm thinking about buying a black sport band.

Any discoloration/staining? Does it get dirty? How easy is it to clean?

No problem with mine.

I've had it since launch day, worn it all day/every day and I haven't cleaned it.

I've worn it to do pretty much everything-cooking, washing up, tidying up etc and it's still fine.

The strap has a matt surface, and is 'polishing' (becoming shiny) where it rubs against itself, the way it fastens, and I expect it may polish where it rubs against surfaces over time (possibly including sleeves), but nothing to worry about.

It's pretty cheap to buy a replacement if necessary.

I find it smugges a bit but cleans easily.

It is comfortable to wear while working out, running, etc.

But, I really am not a fan of the look with the SG Sport Watch (it is what I have). No only all the same color (essentially) but the same visual texture.

I'm itching to replace it. Both for everyday wear and even for working out.

Black sports band - opaque film

I've been wearing a black sports band since May 20, and today noticed an odd thing - the part of the band with the holes (most exposed on the wrist) had a white film on it that comes off with hard rubbing. I did get most of it off, and have no idea how it got there. I don't recall spraying anything near my wrist that might have caused it. Too early to tell if it was a fluke, or if it will be a recurring thing. It's a little strange, tho. My main band is the Milanese Loop, and I wanted the black band for working out and utility duty.

Edit: just saw a reference in another thread to the black sport band "peeling." That's a pretty good description of what I experienced. Now I'm curious to see whether it will happen again.

Follow-up: has not happened again. I must have inadvertently sprayed something on the band, it hardened into the whitish film, then came off when I scrubbed the band. Am now cleaning the band daily as Apple recommends, and no problem. Also have not noticed the polishing effect others have seen.

Received my AW with BSB yesterday... wore it from 2pm to 11pm... the "polishing" effect was on the end of the strap where it tucks into the hole. Not the end of the world... just sucks.
