1. How is the key travel (and compared to previous models)?
2. Now that the keyboard is not removable, does it seem more stable? In other words, with the board having a stable base and the keys being isolated from each other, can you now not feel the whole keyboard flexing slightly as you type?
3. Is it easy to type on with regards to your fingers getting caught up on those sharp edges?
4. On my TiBook, I have the problem that when the lid is closed and I put it in my bag (with some other stuff in it), the keys tend to get pressed into the screen and leave indentations/marks. And I'm fairly careful with my PowerBook, but it still happens. So, I have to slip a sheet of paper into it every time I close it and remove and store it everytime I open it up. Maybe that sounds like a small thing, but it's kind of a PITA over time. Does it seem likely that this will happen with the new MacBook? This could be a large problem because the keys invariably pick up natural finger oils and other contaminants that it seems would be very easily transfered to the new glossy screen, and would be more noticeable.
I noticed that the "keys" (Chiclets) are set into a recessed area, so I'm hopeful that will keep the keys away from the screen. The other part of this equation is how sturdy does the cover seem? Will it easily flex enough with moderate pressure applied to the center to allow the keys to make contact with the screen?
