Hi everyone!

This is my problem: The computer which I used to sync my iPhone is no more... The IT company which "repaired" it lost all my data. The computer was to be sold to a friend of mine, and they messed up the backup they did to the hard drive. I had backup of things like songs, and photos. And now, I am doing all of my work in a laptop, which right now I use to sync my iPhone, but only pictures and music, no Apps.

The thing is, now I want to jailbreak my iPhone. Is there a way to do it without the loss of all the Apps I have in my iPhone? And what about the iTunes backup? Does it saves all the apps, or just re-download the apps stored in my computer back to the iPhone? The problem is some of the Apps I got are no longer available trough the App store...

Thank you!

Cheers

Why don't you backup your apps too?

If you do a complete backup of your iphone before you jailbreak you should be good to go. As for some of the apps that are no longer in the app store....I don't know what to say about those.

I lost a couple of mine while jailbreaking, but I screwed it up and lost ALL of my data on the iphone. But I did have a complete backup to revert back to. Then re-jailbroke and I'm good to go. I'm not sure what apps you have that are no longer available, but it wasn't a huge deal for me since I hardly used the lost apps anyway?

Question

I just bought an unlocked Iphone that belonged to a friend of mine who had ATT and i have tmobile, hence why it has been unlocked, i got it really cheap. its a first generation Iphone and here is my question:
I just want to use it as a phone and for text msgs, i don't have and internet plan and don't want one because my parents won't let me have the internet plan on tmobile, if i use wifi, will i get extra charges? and if i accidentally get on the internet when out of wifi range will it automatically connect to the internet somehow even though i don't have an internet plan? if so, i don't need the extra charges is there anyway to make sure the internet does not connect unless i use wifi, that is if the wifi doesn't charge. I hope i am explaining this well enough, if anyone has the answer, i would really appreciate it.
