A few months ago i had my iphone 4s jailbroken. Being completely idiotic i accidentally deleted cydia while deleting some winterboard stuff. I am not able to restore my iphone through itunes because it wants me to update to the newest software and it wont let me do that either. Since i no longer have access to the computer i used to jailbreak my iphone, I was wondering if i am able to restore using dfu mode..i'm aware that everything on my iphone will get deleted. I just want to make sure if this method will work?

You can always restore the phone to 5.1.1, make sure host file points to Apple.

If you get an error, download the 5.1.1 IPSW to the desktop and try it that way.

Then re-JB.
