im getting a apple blackbook.

just ordered it. up the ram to 2gb =)

have a few questions:

1) Does it support vista in bootcamp? parrallels?

2) what programs for mac do you recommend?

I use a lot of rar's (winrar on pc) and .iso's and .avi's.

I know i can use disk utility for the iso's but what is best for .avis and .dvds?

3)can i run my 22inch lcd and my macbooks screen at the same time?

thanks

Uh huh. You'll have to download the latest version of Boot Camp and you may need to buy Parallels, but it should be fine. Of course, you'll need a licensed version of Windows too. :)

I'd recommend Stuffit Expander for the RARs, VLC for the movies, Office for Mac for basic Office work (if necessary) and UNO for a unified GUI. :)

Yes for Bootcamp; Parallels... what was the final conclusion on the EULA issue? It had appeared that MS was not going to allow the "home" version of Vista to run in a virtualization environment like Parallels, but would allow the "professional" or "ultimate" or whatever higher-end version to do so. But it wasn't clear what, if any, measures were in place on the actual install DVD to prevent it.
