Questions regarding slow mo and time lapse

Not sure if I'm missing something of if I need some type of app but how can I make a slow motion or a time lapse video from an existing video that would recorded as a regular video?

You need to record in slow motion or timelapse mode for it to work natively. Otherwise, you'll need to find an app that converts your videos. They won't be as smooth as they would be if you used the built in modes.
