Quick and Dirty Graphics Program Needed

Hi,

I need a recommendation on a program. I have Adobe Photoshop CS4, but would like a small fast alternative - I like to customize pictures to use for iTunes tagging - for example adding a season name etc to pictures for TV Shows.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated ....

Even Preview will let you add text to an image. just click the "Annotate" button and select the text icon at the bottom of Preview, drag out a text box, type what you want, drag around, got to"Tools" open "Show Fonts", and change font, size or color if you want.
