Sorry about being quick, but I have to do a massive project today. I just came back from CompUSA to buy black DVDs to burn to. However, I didn't know whether to get DVD+R discs or DVD-R. The guys there had no clue, so I ended up with the DVD+R pack.

However, when I got back, I checked the PB manual (17" 1.33GHz), and it only mentioned being able to copy to DVD-R. I also looked up at apple.com, and it just confused me even more.

So, with a blank DVD+R, can my PB burn? Or must I return it ASAP for for DVD-R?

I just don't want to open the 50-pack only to find out it doesn't work. Thanks a bunch for you ASAP responses!!!!

Go to system profiler and look for your superdrive, in their it should show it's capabilities.

I did check; it only listed "-R, -RW". But I've heard from several people (see the post below yours) that it DOES work, and that's why I'm confused.

It definitely has + and - R DVD listed under DVD write. So in case yours says DVD -R and -RW then it`ll burn only those formats IMO. So better get that pack replaced then taking a chance and ending up with 50 Blank DVDs which you cant use.
