I have gmail set up on my iPhone and on my Mail.app on my Mac. It seems like I either get a notification on my phone OR on my computer. Never both. Anyone know how to make it so it goes to both?

You configured both the Mac and the iPhone to get the mail via pop3, didn't you? If that's so, sorry, that's the way pop3 works, no easy way around it. What I think you could do is automatically forward all your mail from that account to a new one, and configure the phone to get the mail from there (let's call it the iPhone account). You can also configure the iPhone to send mail from the old account (or even configure the iPhone account to send mail with the old account as the return address), so nobody will know about your iPhone account and write you there. If you follow my advise, you might as well get a Yahoo address instead of a Gmail one, so you can get the push mail.

I have a yahoo account (just created) and a .mac account. Could you give me a little more detail on how to set it up. Please...I said please, now you have to :D

Damn that word :D :p.

It's fairly simple, really. Go to the Gmail page, and login. Then go to Settings (upper right corner), Forwarding and POP (fifth tab). By default, the "Disable forwarding" radio button is checked; change that to "Forward a copy of incoming mail to your_mail@yahoo.com and keep Gmail's copy in the inbox".

And that's it; now every message you get in your Gmail account is going to your Yahoo one too. For the other part (sending mail from the iPhone through the Gmail account), I think you should have two options (not really sure since I don't have neither an iPhone nor a Yahoo account). One would be to simply set up the iPhone to send mail through one account and receive through the other. If the iPhone doesn't have that option, see if the Yahoo account has the option to change the reply address (at least Gmail has it; it's under the second tab "Accounts", "Send mail as"). If that fails too, then you can use another Gmail account instead of the Yahoo one, but you'll lose the push email.

Hope that helps, tell us how it went :).
