Was looking to get either one of these for mac pro:

Western Digital WD Caviar Blue 1TB SATA 6GB/S 7200RPM 32MB Cache 3.5IN Hard Drive OEM

Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA3 6GB/S 7200RPM 64MB Cache 3.5IN Dual Proc Hard Drive OEM

Appears the Cache MB is the only difference, so is there any big performance difference for a 2010 3.33 Hex?

Get the Black if you are using it for boot drive (faster)
Blue if you want to save money or power and only need storage.

You don't want 1TB in SSD. You move your home folder to HDD and boot to SSD.

But maybe the OP wants a 1TB drive, period. There was no mention of budget, so hard to say.

Caviar Blacks are probably the best bang-for-buck mechanical drives if SSD is out of the question. Their price premium over Caviar Blues is not a significant amount, either.
