Quick Help please =(

I have a 2G Iphone unlocked with Pwnage, version 2.0.1(if I remember correctly). Last night I was fooling around with the settings and initiated a delete all media and files process which took up 1 hour. Now my Iphone turns on but only shows the Pineapple and does nothing more.
I don't know what to do?


p.s I also tried to download the ispw package for 2.2 but its almost 250mb in size. Is it really that big?

Oh man....I just plugged it into my macbook and itunes wont even recognize it. All I get is that Pineapple.

try resetting it by holding the sleep/wake button and home button, if that doesn't worl try restarting your computer, if itunes still doesn't recognize it try putting it into dfu mode: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034

Did you try putting it into DFU mode? Oh, and btw, I understand DFU mode doesn't work with the latest MacBooks, if you have one of the latest models, find someone with an older MacBook or even a PC. Get it into DFU and restore.

Yup.

Put the iPhone into DFU mode and restore. If you have a unibody MacBook or MacBook Pro, use a USB hub and plug your iPhone into that. The Mac will recognize the iPhone DFU mode then. Once you get it into DFU mode, restore and rejailbreak.

And yes, the firmware is really that big.

DFU does not work. I hold down both buttons but once I count to 7 the screen goes black for 1 second, then it goes back to the pineapple. I then release sleep on ten, and continue holding Home and Itunes wont recognize it.

I guess I bricked it!

crap...I have read some ads on craigslist.org stating they can fix any bricked iphone. Should I seek their help?

Does it work in windows system?

I am in the same boat. I don't know what I was thinking. I just want to remove all the contacts and emails and then give it to my friend. I jailbroke it with most recent firmware (2.2?) and hit the restore to the factory state. I can only see the Apple logo now.

I am not a MAC person. Can I do the same thing under windows vista/xp?

I think I just made it work. Had to upgrade the firmware and then jailbroke it. Thanks!
