quick icon request

Hi, I am sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I believe this is the most appropriate section.

I was wondering if someone could help edit an icon for me as I do not have any software that can do what I need to... very simple task [I think!].

I am looking to get JUST the logo without the black background. If anyone can do this for me it would be greatly appreciated!

the gimp is free

You will have issue getting that image without the black background, the gradient will not go from red to clear as its blending into the black
