I've been googling a lot and am finding conflicting information about this subject. Can a 2006 Mac Pro do a mirrored RAID of two striped RAIDs internally without the RAID card? I know it can do one or the other, just not sure if it can do both. Some sites say yes, some say no.

Thanks!

In theory I would imagine it should be possible since OS X supports RAID0/1 modes separately. I don't know if it supports RAID-ing members that are already in an array though.

Maybe some one with a Mac Pro can verify this?
