I got an iphone 4s last week after moving from android back to iOS, I jailbroke my phone on 5.1.1 2 days ago but now iOS 6 is out, can i still restore 5.1.1 if i mess something up? if i remember right holding control then restore to choose a 5.1.1 firmware? i havent upgraded to iOS 6 and not planning too till unteethered jailbreak comes out

If you have your SHSH/APTicket combi saved with TinyUmbrella, than yes you can restore to 5.1.1 if something goes wrong, but only if you stay on 5.1.1

Be quick to get your SHSH before apple stops signing 5.1.1

Not control-restore, but alt-restore(mac) or shift-restore(win)

I thought cydia saves your blobs? as it says SHSH 5.1.1 should i use tiny unbrella and something else or just tiny umbrella?

Cydia saves it as well, but tinyumbrella saves them locally on your computer, if you have your SHSH saved recently it will have the APTicket as well, its a combination, TU alone is enough

Ok so its not too late? i can use tiny umbrella now to save my 5.1.1 jailbrake?

Right i just used tiny umbrella to save my 5.1.1 blobs now i dunno if this matters but the option to set hosts to cydia on exit ( if you need a clean restore from apple uncheck this) is greyed out so i cant tick/untick this box

As long as it is unchecked it is ok, on 4+ firmware that needs to be on, if uou only worked with 5+ firmware it shouldn't be an issue

Ok thanx, I backed up my apple tv too:) if i need to restore my iphone to 5.1.1 i have to use tiny umbrella?

Nope, you need redsn0w to stitch your SHSH to a 5.1.1 ipsw after apple stops signing it.

So you need the locally saved shsh from TU but not TU itself

Try iclarified for the exact tutorial
