Quick notes app syncing question...

Do you need an @me.com email to sync your notes via icloud with mountain lion or can you just use an email account that syncs notes e.g. gmail to sync them across to mountain lion so they stay in sync in your iphone notes app and mountain lion notes app?

you can use gmail as well

so I assume it would sync with any email provider that syncs notes?
