This seems like it should be easy but it's not.
I've got a spreadsheet open with a big list. Each row has many separate numbers in many columns. I need each row added up with the sum shown in a separate box.
I know I can do a quick sum row by row by selecting the row and choosing sum from the function list. But there's too many rows, so that would take a long time.
I tried to select all the rows, but with multiple when I choose sum from the function menu, it adds down, not across. So I get a sum for each column, not each row.
It just seems stupid that it doesn't have an easy way to change the quick sum to add across instead of down.
And I've tried fooling with a formula for a column where I could say give me the sum for this row, for each row of this column. But I can't seem to figure out a way to do it en masse, so again I'd have to do it row by row as far as I can tell.
Tell me I'm missing something and there's an easy way to accomplish what I want! Thanks.
