I'm new to the whole jailbreak thing and I DID do a search on this before posting but found nothing the answered were questions exactly. First, what happens when you sync your phone later on down the road after JBing your phone, do you have to JB it again? Also, if I JB it with purplera1n, can I simply restore my phone and JB it again when the dev team comes out with their version? These are probably really simple questions but thanks for your patience.:D

you didnt do a good job of searching ... :-/

but nothing happens when you sync the phone.. itll stay jb.. and i really see no point in restoring the phone and jb it with the dev team jb .. youll come to the same conclusion ... a jb 3gs.... so why would you wanna do all that work for the same result??

Yes, you can sync with iTunes.
Do you have a 3g 0r 2g? If so the dev team already released a JB for them. If not then ya go ahead and JB you can always restore. Tho I personally would wait.

I have a quick question too-actually two :)

First, I run Mac mostly. I can Bootcamp to JB the phone.

But-can I then re-sync to MAC itunes or am I stuck with windows?

Also-does this method require the whole USB Dump and/or backing up certain temp files? If not, will that process be required later?

Thanks and if this is duplicate questions, please don't blast me, I am hung over this morning :)

I have a 3G S and my friend just jailbroke his 3G so I'm becoming very impatient with waiting for the dev teams break haha. I really want it so I thought I would give the purplera1n a go before the dev team comes out with theirs.
