I was following the instructions here: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1557

on how to unlock/activate/jailbreak the iPhone 2G and I got to step 8, but it never asked me to search for the "bootloaders." It just asked where to save the .ipsw.

This is my first time doing this for an iPhone, but have used this program to jailbreak an iPod touch earlier.

Why didn't it ask for the bootloaders? I followed the instructions EXACTLY.

it didn't ask to find them because pwnage already knew where they were from the previous time you used it (for the iPod). the bootloaders will be highlighted in green, which means that they have been found. every thing is fine:)

It didn't use the bootloaders (at least I don't think so) when I pwned the iPod Touch. As a matter of fact, I just downloaded the bootloaders after pwning the iPod touch.

Did this happen to anyone else? It never asked for bootloaders when trying to unlock an iPhone 2G?

Also, it never asked if I am a "legit user." I want to unlock this phone, but the software doesn't seem to be working the way it was described in the tutorial.

BTW, I haven't received my iPhone yet. It's coming this week. I just want to prepare.
