I know that Apple has to sign a IPSW for you to be able to downgrade. Is that the same for upgrading also? Im sorry if this is a dumb question, im trying to update my phone but i dont want to lose my jailbreak. Im on 8.4 right now and i really want to update to 9.0. Thanks for your help

You can only restore/update to the firmware version Apple currently signs.
