I have software update 2.2 on my iphone, would i still be able to follow the same guide everyone is using? And can anyone refer me to a great guide? Thanks!

Thank you so much! I didnt expect for a good response this fast.

well im about to JB my 3g but i notice that on the website link that you posted it said

Important***: Do not attempt these instructions for the 2.2 iPhone Firmware unless you don't care about a software unlock in the future. Using QuickPwn with the 2.2 iPhone Firmware could reduce your chances of being able to unlock the iPhone 3G.

hmm what are they trying to say? well my phone just lock up and i wont be able to use it will i not be able to do a full restore on my phone if needed to be brought back to apple for a check up? will i not be able to update to a new firmwear and then JB again ?

can i get some answers?

The unlock they're referring to is the ability to unlock your phone and use it with a different carrier in the future. If you don't care about that, just use QuickPwn. If you are in the US and are with AT&T and don't have any desire to switch to T-Mobile in the future, QuickPwn is what you want to use. If you think you may want to unlock your phone in the future to use it with a different GSM carrier, use Pwnage.
