Quick question RE: Safari

Just a quickie, at the bottom of the Safari window is a grey bar that shows the load status of the page as it is downloaded.

Have I only just noticed this or has it been there all along. It would be weird if it was there all along and I haven't noticed it in a year.

The status bar i believe is defaulted off like showing the tab bar always. Personally I have always kept mine on since the first safari. So nothing new but you might have accidently activated (command /) it or used the view menu to show the bar.
