In front of my Mac.
Hey gang, my buddy runs a Windoze PC and for whatever reason it won't let him restore his iPhone via iTunes...he wants to come over and try it on my much more reliable Mac :)D) and I don't think it will work, he isn't looking to restore from a backup, he just needs to make the phone "new" again. Will it work?

It's worth a shot, make sure you setup a profile or have him use the guest account on your mac so this way he doesnt sync with your stuff.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A400 Safari/528.16)

It should. iTunes is going to tell you that the phone has been synced with another iTunes library when you plug it in but you are erasing the data anyway so you're not going to care about the Apps and such that are on there. I did this with an old iPhone before I sold it. It was originally synced to my MB and I restored it on my powermac. Worked like a charm.
