I noticed on the Boot Camp download page that it asked me which mac I had. As I had an iMac, I selected this from the list.

However,

Now I want to install on my MacBook Pro. Can I still use the same file that I downloaded after selecting iMac? I assume that the file is the same, but just checking. I can't imagine any of the drivers would be different either, especially since the graphics card is the same.

Cheers

The questionnaire is just to get a general idea of who is suing BC and what for. The file you download either way is the same 202 MB .dmg file. In other words, yes.

Hmm, Well why does my MacBook pro not want to install boot camp then...

I just tried to run the BC assistant, and it claims that my firmware is out-of-date. The point is, my firmare is completely up-to-date!

Grrr
