... did the 10.5.2 update to leopard include the remote disc application that comes with the MacBook Air?

I would greatly appreciate it. I seriously think Apple should bundle it into the Leopard OS.

Hopefully getting my MacBook in 1 1/2 weeks!

I can't confirm it but I don't believe 10.5.2 came with the Remote Disc Application. I think since it's specific to the MBA it will only be on the MBA Leopard Install disc. I haven't even seen a download version on Apple's website.

If someone else knows more please feel free to correct me.

I believe you are correct. Haven't seen it anywhere but on the MBA included disks.

It would've been nice if they included it into the OS.

"Hey Jesus! Is that a MacBook Air?"

"Yeah, it is. Could I borrow your optical drive Mike?"

"Sure, no problem. Do you have the install discs?"

"CRAP, forgot those at home"

Instead of that happening, it would be nice if it went something like this:

"Hey Jesus! Is that a MacBook Air?"

"Yeah, it is. Could I borrow your optical drive Mike?"

"Sure, no problem. Just join my network."

"Awesome, thanks bud."

Yeah.

10.5.2 added a "CD/DVD Drive" option to System Preferences -> Sharing.

You're right. I probably should've checked that. :D

I even had it checked already.
:p
