i just formatted my pc and installed itunes

if i plugged my ipod will itunes play a mean joke on me as usual ? or am i safe?

I can safely say from my own experience, that iTunes won't make any comment about you, your mother or your father, but I can't guarantee that it won't say anything about your grandfather. Sorry about that.

I'd make sure to set iTunes to manage music manually so that it won't try to sync and wipe you out. I assume you did not back up your iTunes library prior to the format? I forget the name of the program but there is something out there that will allow you to access the iPod as a disk so that you can grab all the music off of it and readd it to iTunes.

If you plug in your iPod, iTunes will probably attempt to erase the content so that it matches its library. It'll give you a warning though... "This iPod is already synced with another library, are you sure you want to sync it with this one?" or to that effect. As long as you select "No I don't want to sync my iPod," you should be fine.

k guys ...

i dont wont anything from the current itunes to go to my ipod

i want to plug my ipod without anything happening ...

then put the songs i want by my self

thanks,

Yup, just make sure your iPod is in manual manage mode. Do this first on your computer with your music library.
