I have a problem where quick reply is not working for Facebook Messenger. When I 3D Touch the notification it comes up options "reply" and "dismiss" if I am correct. So when I press reply it pops up blank and I cannot see the message. This is really annoying as quick reply will save a lot of time etc than me having to stop a app to just reply.

Normal messages work for quick reply. It's just Facebook messenger that never works. Anyone know what's the problem and how to fix?

Do you have previews enabled inside the app settings?

It's most likely the developers' fault. It's just like WhatsApp, Telegram, and many other IM apps; they allow you to disable previews completely, but they don't implement it like Apple does with Messages.

I have previews disabled in Facebook Messenger options. I disable it because I do not want it to show the message incase other people can see. But how does this affect the reply option to not work?

Messenger has made it such that you'll need your Touch ID/passcode to send a reply, unlike WhatsApp and Telegram. You may need to unlock your device before being able to use the Reply feature.

Well, with a quick reply you would be able to see the message you are replying to, which would essentially be getting around the no preview setting, which is why I'm thinking it's behaving that way. You can certainly enable previews for a moment to see if that makes a difference, at least just to try that aspect of it out.

True I will try test that out. But I don't think it will make a difference. Maybe it could be the developers of the app didn't make it properly.

Anyone else getting this issue? Where you get a notification from Facebook Messenger and you 3D touch it and it comes up to reply or cancel. You click reply and a box comes up to reply but you cannot see the messages at all.

Everybody is. I don't believe there's an api for full implementation of the feature. You can have a live conversation, seeing the messages from the lock screen only with iMessage. No other app has it. I think.

You have to have preview enabled for it to work. It shows the message you 3D Touch it, reply with your message and once you hit send it'll ask for you fingerprint or passcode and it'll send.

Preview enabled for what? I'm not talking about message/imessage.
